Poonch March 4 :In a successfully conducted operation by army and police, a consignment of Heroine like substance containing around 840 grams narcotics has been recovered from Mendhar town.
Senior Superintendent of Police Poonch Ramesh Angral said that on a specific input, a team of police in Mendhar alongwith Army’s 37 RR and sister agency launched a joint operation in Dharana area of Mendhar.
” During search, a packet was found kept hidden which was put to frisking and found having around 840 grams of Heroine like substance.” said SSP.
He added that police team which was part of operation was headed by SDPO Mendhar Zaheer Abbas Jafri with a case under relevant sections of law have been registered and investigation is going on to identify the source of consignement and to nab the accused.(KNT)
