PSAJK condoles demise of eminent writer Marghoob Banihali

Srinagar, Apr 28: Private Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK) has condoled the demise of eminent writer and scholar Marghoob Banihali.

The Association offered its sympathies with renowned psychiatrist Dr Mushtaq Marghoob son of the deceased. The Association said that the demise of Marghoob Banihali is a huge loss for the entire society. “Marghoob Saheb was an inspiration for our students. His demise is a great loss for our education sector. He was a living legend whose rich legacy in the shape of his books (more than 50), scholarly articles, research papers and other work will continue to guide our students for eternity,” said G N Var president PSAJK. “How he rose from Tehsil Education Officer to HOD of Kashmiri department at Kashmir University is an inspirational story for all of us.”

The Association said that enriching the education and literary sector of Kashmir has been one of the biggest contributions of entire Banihali family. “For centuries they have contributed in one way or other to spread the light of education. Marghoob Saheb flawlessly carried forward the brilliant work,” said Var. “Their contribution to education and literature is known not only in Kashmir valley but in the entire state.”

The Association held a condolence meeting wherein the participants expressed their sympathies with the bereaved family particularly Dr Mushtaq Marghoob. The members of the association highlighted the great work of the Marghoob Saheb in education field and prayed to Allah to give the bereaved family courage to bear the loss. The participants prayed to Allah for the grant of Jannat to the departed soul.
