Srinagar: The 2ndRound of the Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) Program drive commenced today in Sopore.
SDM Sopore Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Block Development officer, Dr. Mohd Sami inaugurates the Pulse Polio immunization in Sopore.
It was informed that thousands of children are to be immunized during the 2nd phase of the IPPI in Sopore for vaccination booths in different places of Sopore town.
Health workers, ASHA Workers and Aganwari workers .Besides various Transit Camps and several Mobile camps have also been established across the district for places like railway stations, Bus addas, etc.
The BMO, meanwhile, called for extensive and coordinative efforts from the deployed machinery, so that every child below the age of five years in the district is covered under the programme.
Moreover a polio both was also established in the slum area of Sopore.
