Srinagar: Leh in Ladakh region was the only city in Jammu and Kashmir to figure in 100 cleanest cities in the country under Swachh Bharat mission ranking.
However, Srinagar, Jammu and Anantnag were other cities figuring in the ranking released by Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu announced the results today.
Leh, which is free of polythene, has got the ranking of 100 followed by Anantnag in south Kashmir 197 while Srinagar and Jammu got 241 and 251 respectively. However, despite ban by the government and directions by the high court people are still using polythene bags in both capital cities of the state.
