Srinagar: The government on Saturday modified its earlier orders regarding change in timings for educational institutions across Kashmir.
As per the government decision, the schools within Municipal limits of Srinagar district will remain functional from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm on all working days from Monday.
However the schools in other areas including all the districts will be from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.
“The school timing has been rescheduled keeping in the view the interests of students,” an official said.
The school timing has been changed after government faced severe criticism from deferent quarters for its earlier orders wherein the schools within Srinagar Municipal limits had to start functioning from 8 am and 9 am in other areas.
