Rahul demands full rollback of GST on disability aids

NEW DELHI: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi today demanded a rollback on the GST on disability aids such as wheelchairs and Braille typewriters.
In a series of tweets, Mr Gandhi said the tax on disability aids showed the NDA government’s complete insensitivity towards the most vulnerable sections of society.
‘GST on disability aids like wheelchairs & Braille typewriters, once again shows this Govt’s complete insensitivity twds our most vulnerable.
‘ ‘Congress Party demands a full roll back of this ‘disability tax’ that will put millions of our disabled people through further hardship,’ the Congress scion said.
The GST system has come into effect from July 1. (UNI)
