Er Rasheed asks lawmakers, if Burhan Wani is terrorist; none says ‘Yes’
SRINAGAR (KPS): In a referendum like scene in the lower house of the assembly today, Engineer Rasheed lawmaker from Langate asked the lawmakers to clear their stand on whether they consider Hizib militant commander Burhan Wani a “terrorist” or not.
Rasheed while talking about Burhan asked legislatures to raise their hands if Burhan Wani to any of them is a terrorist. Interestingly, no lawmaker raised his hand, neither from the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP).
Surprised with the silent reaction of the colleagues, Rasheed goes ahead with his remarks about the Burhan. He said that the Burhan Wani is hero of Kashmir. Meanwhile the members of the BJP asked Rasheed that who gave him the authority to decide if Burhan was not a terrorist.
When contacted Er, Rasheed, he told Kashmir Press Service (KPS) that Burhan Wani rules the hearts of people which is proved by the silence of lawmakers in the house. He said that deployment of additional 21 thousand paramilitary forces is quite evident for fact that India know Burhan Wani represents the sentiments of people of Kashmir.
When asked about the objection of BJP member Ravinder Raina, he said that BJP has 27 MLA’s, ‘No one dares to say’ who is Burhan Wani which is enough to prove that they now Burhan was not a terrorist. (KPS)
