Sajad Lone visits Late Sofi’s residence
Handwara: Minister for Social Welfare, ARI Trainings and Information Technology, Sajad Gani Lone, Friday, visited the bereaved family of late Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Sofi, where he expressed his grief on the demise of the political leader.
The Minister also took part in the congregational prayers and prayed for the eternal peace of departed soul.
The Minister said that late Sofi was a thorough gentleman who had spent most of his political career working for the uplift of downtrodden and poor people especially in district Kupwara. He said Sofi was one the founder members of the People’s Conference and he contributed a lot for the party led by late Abdul Gani Lone.
Recalling the contribution of late Sofi, Mr Lone said he worked a lot for the development and welfare of the people particularly in Handwara, Kupwara and Langate areas. He said Sofi was a dedicated socio political figure who had done a lot for needy and deserving people in the State in general and hilly district of Kupwara in particular.
