Ganderbal, Oct 17, (KPS): MLA Ganderbal, Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar, today said that all the roads of the district will be macadamised in a phased manner and this year till date about 134KMS have been macadamised.
The MLA was interacting with people during his extensive tour of different areas of Ganderbal to take stock of ongoing development works in the area besides assessing public grievances.
After inaugurating 4km macademization work on roads from Dedranbagh, Ishfaq said that he is according priority to new constructions besides focused attention is being paid on upgradation of existing roads. He said a number of motorable roads and bridges have been completed in this financial year while as work on various other vital links and bridges would be taken up under PMGSY and NABARD to ensure better road connectivity to left out habitations of the area.
The MLA asked the executive agencies to make optimum use of funds and complete the projects within fixed time frame. He also urged upon the people to personally monitor the works being executed in their respective areas for effective implementation of development projects.
The people of the area put forth various problems and demands including upgradation of inner roads, upgradation of transformers, replacement of HT/LT lines, adequate water supply, repair of lanes and drains .
The MLA assured the public that he is trying his best to solve the problems of the people and assured them all your genuine grievances will be solved (KPS).
