Vijayawada Nov 13 : The death toll in the boat capsized incident, which happened in river Krishna at Pavitra Sangamam near here, rose to 18 with two more bodies fished out by the NDRF teams, today.
Meanwhile, a massive search is underway by the NDRF and local fishermen to trace the three missing persons.Post-mortem was conducted to all the 18 bodies in the government hospital.
The deceased were identified as Rayapati Subramanyam (60), Pasupuleti Sitaramaiah (64), K Anjaneyulu (58), Kopuru Lalitha (35), K Venkateswara Rao (48), Rajesh (49), Hemalatha (49), Dacharla Bharathi (60), T Bindusri (30), J Prabhakar Reddy (50), P Anjamma (55), Sujata (40), A Gurunadha Rao (40), K Koteswara Rao (40), S Koteswara Rao (48), Venkayamma (59), K Sudhakar (33) and Haritha (30).
The officials said that three persons were still missing and massive search operations in the river was going on to trace the bodies.
