Kannur, Nov 13: City police on Monday arrested a drug peddler and seized four kgs of heroin worth Rs 40,000 from his possession here.
According to police, the accused Manikandan (35) of Chirayankeezhu in Thiruvanathapuram district was arrested from nearby Kannur railway station at around 1130 hrs.
The heroin was kept in a bag, and he was on the way to sell the contrband to retail agents at Kannur town.
A case has been registered and investigation is on, police added.
