Train service resumes in Kashmir after two days
Srinagar, Feb 18 : Train service resumed on Sunday after remaining suspended for two days for security reasons in the Kashmir valley, where separatists had called for a general strike on Saturday against shifting of detenues from central jail, Srinagar and killing of Hurriyat Conference (HC) leader by unidentified gunmen. On Friday, train service was suspended for security reasons in noth Kashmir after clashes erupted when security forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) at Palhalan Pattan. Train service has been resumed in the Kashmir valley after receiving a fresh advisory from police last night, a railway official told UNI.
