Srinagar, Jun 11 : Former parliamentarian and senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader, Mehboob Beg on Monday said that there is no need of formal invitation for talks when Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh has openly cleared Government of India’s stand.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Beg said that Home Minister has openly said that they are ready to talk with anyone including Pakistan. I believe that there is no need for a formal invitation,” he said.
He also said that “we all including mainstream as well as separatists should grab the opportunity and without ifs and buts.
“Onus lies on mainstream and separatist to grab the opportunity as it is we people who are suffering,” he said.
Beg said that even after the volatile situation, the Chief Minister managed to convince union government to announce unilateral ceasefire. “It is because of her hardwork and commitment that she is continuously and sincerely working hard to ensure peaceful atmosphere to people,” she added. (KNS)
