Keeping assembly under suspension encourages horse-trading: Vakil
Asks Governor to clear his position on Govt formation
Says political uncertainty affects admin, public
Srinagar 4 July 2018: President Jammu Kashmir Bachao Tehreek and former minister Abdul Gani Vakil Wednesday expressed serious concern over the prevailing political uncertainty in the State and asked Governor NN Vohra to clear his actual position regarding government formation and horse-trading. Mr Vakil said by keeping the Legislative Assembly under suspension and not dissolving it has only added more confusion in the already uncertain political atmosphere of the state.”Within no time the Governor should either dissolve the Assembly or clear the prevailing uncertainty. Not dissolving the House won’t strengthen the governor rule for the greater welfare of people,” Vakil said in a statement issued here.
He said even the officers working in different levels of administration are in dilemma whether the Governor Rule will continue or state will have any new peoples government. “The uncertainty and confusion is everywhere. What is the point in keeping the Assembly under suspension? The Governor should answer the questions of political parties. If every political party wants dissolution of assembly what stops governor to break his silence,” Vakil said.H Hesaid the present administration which is full with uncertainty is not able to address the public grievances. “Nobody knows who will be in power tomorrow,” he said.
Vakil said that after every passing day the MLAS are revolting which indicates the signs of horse trading and this whole chaos and political confusion has affected the overall administration resulting in sufferings to people. He said Governor N N Vohra is a man of high credibility and he should not let his long earned credibility go by allowing some parties to go for horse-trading. Vakil held both PDP-BJP responsible for pushing the State into Governor’s rule.
