Vohra, former CM greet people on Guru Hargobind’s Day

Srinagar, July 5 : Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti have greeted people on the birth anniversary of Guru Hargobindji.
In a message, Mr Vohra expressed sincere hope that the celebration of this auspicious day would strengthen the bonds of amity, harmony and brotherhood and be a harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity in the state.
The Governor observed that Guru Hargobindji’s noble example of selfless service, based on the high values of righteousness, truth and love, is more relevant today than in the past. The governor prayed for the well-being of the people of the State.
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president and former CM Mehbooba Mufti has also greeted the people on the birth anniversary of Guru Hargobindji. She hoped that the auspicious day would strengthen the bonds of amity, harmony and brotherhood and be a harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
All Party Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina said the Prakash Utsav was celebrated with religious fervor and gaiety in the state on June 29. However, the government has declared holiday today, he said.
