Centre withdraws social media hub policy, AG informs SC
Srinagar: Scores of people on Friday staged demonstration in Lolab Valley of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district against the killing of two local militants by government forces on Thursday.
Witnesses told Local Media that scores of people after offering congregational Friday prayers hit the streets in Shotmuqam village of Lolab and staged demonstrations against the killing of two Hizb militants Bilal Ahmad Shah and Zahoor Ahmad by government forces on Thursday.
Chanting slogans, the protesters marched to the grave of Shah and offered special prayers.
Meanwhile, protests were also reported from Kalaroos village of the district against the killings.
Special prayers were offered by people for Hizb militant Zahoor Ahmad, a native of Kalaroos.
Shah and Ahmad were killed in a brief encounter with government forces in Khumriyal area of the district on Thursday. (Agencies)
