A team headed by Tehsildar Pattan,Singpora along with other officers checked rates of essential commodities, Standards of Food
300 kg vegetables, 6 shops were seized, Rs 2000 cash as fine collected from the violators during the checking
Pattan : 12 Feb 2019:- Today, keeping in view the essential requirements for the general public,on the directions of SDM a special drive of market checking of the whole Pattan market was conducted by a team headed of Tehsildar Pattan Moien Azhar Kakroo, Executive Officer Municipal Committee Pattan Ghulam Rasool Shah, SDPO Pattan Raja Majid, I/c SHO Pattan Athar Parvaiz, Food Safety Officer Pattan Shri Yasir Ahmad, TSO Pattan to check the exorbitant rates and Standars of Food.
During the checking 300 kg vegetables & 6 shops were seized and Rs 2000 cash as fine was also collected from the voilators.
Meanwhile, Tehsildar Pattan while speaking on the occausion said that wherever general public face any issue regarding the prices or quality of commodities, they should immediately inform the said offices for immediate action.
Pertinently, there were directions also from the Commissioner Food Safety J&K Dr. Ab Kadir Dar to check that deteriorated food is not supplied to consumers due to the blockage of National Highway.
Meanwhile another inspection team headed by Tehsildar Singpora Nisar Ahmad was held in Singpora Market during which different domestic gas cylanders were seized from hotel owners and fine was also imposed on voilaters. TSO Singpora Was also present during inspection.
While seeing all the concerned officers in action, the general public appreciated the effort and said such checkings should be done regularly.
