Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday arrested two alleged supporters of the Saifullah militant group for providing logistical support and shelter to foreign terrorists in the Chatroo area of Kishtwar district.
The arrested accused have been identified as Mashkoor Ahmed of Beighpora Singhpora — a teacher in the School Education Department — and Maneer Ahmed of Bandeyan Naidgam. Both are booked under multiple sections of the BNS, UAPA and Arms Act.
SSP Kishtwar Naresh Singh said the arrests have dealt a significant blow to the logistical support network of militants in the area. Further investigation is underway to identify and apprehend others linked to the module.
