2 burglars arrested in Sopore 

 

Srinagar, March 7 : Police on Saturday said that it arrested two burglars and recovered stolen property worth lakhs from them in Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

A police spokesman said police station Sopore received a complaint from Ghulam Nabi Sheikh regarding burglary in his residential house at Alsafa Colony Sopore.

Accordingly a case (FIR No. 38/2020) under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Sopore and investigation was initiated in the matter.

During the course of investigation, officers were able to identify two individuals identified as Owais Ahmad Lone and Zakir Ahmad Lone, both residents of Astanpora Achabal involved in the commission of crime.

Both the accused persons were arrested and shifted to Police Station where they remain in custody. Officers were also able to recover the stolen property.

In a separate action, Sopore Police arrested a person identified as Irfan Gassi of Kralteng Sopore who was involved in a series of theft cases in Sopore area and recovered stolen property.
