No Shortage of Emergency Medicines in Baramulla: Drug Control Department
In a proactive move to ensure uninterrupted access to essential healthcare supplies, Assistant Drug Controller for Baramulla and Kupwara, Dr. Zaffer Ahmad Bhat, along with Mir Ghulam Nabi, President of the Baramulla Chemists and Druggists Association (BCDA), and other members of the association, conducted a comprehensive inspection of pharmacies across Baramulla town on Tuesday.
The inspection focused on the availability of life-saving emergency drugs, including cardiac, diabetic, anti-hypertensive, asthma medications, antibiotics, infusions, and intravenous drugs.
Dr. Bhat confirmed that the stock levels are sufficient and that retail drug outlets have assured there is no shortage of any essential medicines. The BCDA president also affirmed the availability of baby food and pediatric essentials, emphasizing that all chemists are well-prepared to meet public demand.
The Assistant Drug Controller urged all association members to remain vigilant and to report any shortages immediately, so the department can take swift corrective action.
