Srinagar gunfight: After brief lull, firing resumes
Mobile Internet and voice call services suspended
Srinagar, May 19 : After a brief lull, firing has resumed between militants and Government forces in Srinagar. A pre- dawn encounter broke out in Nawa Kadal area of downtown Srinagar
Police sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that there was no firing for more than four hours after initial exchange of gunfire between the two sides.
“The firing has resumed,” they said. As a precautionary measure, authorities have suspended voice call and mobile internet services in Srinagar. This is the first encounter in Srinagar city after August 5, 2019—(KNO)
