Handwara : On the directions of Superintendent of Police Handwara Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy-IPS, today Police Post Magam carried out a bung destruction drive in the areas falling in its jurisdiction and destroyed a large part of wild Bung in the area.
Working hard towards the objective of Drug free society, Handwara Police have been working to lower the source of contraband to the youth addicted to drugs and to eradicate this menace from the society and is continuously working hard on the objective.
The locals of the area have hailed the step carried out by Handwara Police.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding cultivation of contrabands in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling & cultivation of contraband substances shall be dealt as per law.
