Dr. G.S.S.H. Vara Prasad Seeks BJP Ticket for Uri Assembly Constituency
Dr. G.S.S.H. Vara Prasad, a prominent environmentalist and senior manager at NHPC Ltd, Faridabad, has announced his candidacy for the Uri Assembly Constituency on behalf of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
A native of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, Dr. Prasad has been actively involved in the development of the Uri region, having served with NHPC Ltd since 2001.
Dr. Prasad’s tenure includes a 16-year stint in Uri, where he became well-known for his contributions to the local community. Known affectionately as “Dr. Prasad,” he has built a reputation for assisting residents in both social and personal matters, from border villages to Sheeri.
With the BJP government’s decision to hold general elections in Jammu & Kashmir, Dr. Prasad has received significant encouragement from local residents to run for the Uri Assembly seat. He anticipates securing around 22,000 votes from the constituency’s approximately 85,000 voters.
Dr. Prasad has expressed confidence that his candidacy would not only bring national and international attention but also demonstrate the BJP’s commitment to addressing local needs. He has emphasized his dedication to working diligently to ensure the party’s success in the constituency.
In a formal appeal, Dr. Prasad has requested the BJP high command to consider his application favorably and grant him the party’s mandate for Uri. He assures that, if given the opportunity, he will exert every effort to secure a victory for the party and contribute effectively to the development of the region.
Dr. Prasad’s candidacy is seen as a significant move, potentially aligning with the BJP’s strategic goals and addressing local electoral dynamics.
