Farooq Shah Holds Teachers’ Interaction Program at GHS School Kunzer
Farooq Ahmad Shah, MLA Gulmarg, convened a Teachers' Interaction Programme at the Government Higher Secondary School in Kunzer, centered around the theme "Innovate, Inspire, and Impact Lives through Education."
The event was designed to underscore the pivotal role of education in shaping the future of the region and its impact on the constituency.
During his address, Farooq Ahmad Shah reiterated his unwavering commitment to prioritizing education. “Education will remain my first priority, and I will personally oversee the functioning of the education sector in my constituency,” he affirmed.
The MLA also outlined a series of ambitious reforms aimed at strengthening the education system. He announced plans to establish 20 new kindergarten schools across the two zones of the constituency, underscoring the importance of building a strong foundation for early education. Shah emphasized accountability within the education system, proposing the introduction of an annual recognition program for high-performing teachers, while those exhibiting poor performance would face necessary consequences. "We will ensure accountability at every level to bring out the best in our education system," he stated.
Farooq Ahmad Shah also shared his vision for transforming the Gulmarg region into a model area for both education and healthcare. "In the next five years, we will bring about significant reforms to improve the quality and accessibility of education," he assured the gathering.
In recognition of outstanding contributions, the MLA distributed appreciation certificates to teachers who had delivered excellent academic results in the previous year. He was joined by ZEO Kunzer and ZEO Tangmarg, both of whom expressed their full support for these initiatives and the drive for educational reform.
The Teachers' Interaction Programme was seen as a positive step forward in the journey toward creating an innovative, impactful, and accountable education system in the constituency.
Later, MLA Gulmarg inaugurated the Grey Shades Diagnostic Centre at Chandilora, an initiative aimed at improving healthcare facilities in the region. The inauguration was attended by party functionaries and other distinguished personalities from the constituency.
