The State Taxes Department of Jammu and Kashmir organized an impressive ceremony on Friday to honor officers recently promoted to the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services (JKAS) cadre. The event took place at Hotel Solar Residency, Srinagar, where senior officers and colleagues gathered to celebrate the milestone achievements.
The officers elevated to the JKAS cadre include Muhammad Altaf Rather, Zahoor Ahmed Bhat, Aijaz Ahmed Lone, and Sakhi Muhammad Khan—all of whom have rendered more than 25 years of dedicated service to the department.
Additional Commissioner of State Taxes, Kashmir, Pervaiz Ahmed Raina, graced the event as the chief guest. In his address, Raina commended the officers for their exemplary service and urged them to uphold the same standards of professionalism and commitment in their new administrative roles. He expressed confidence that the promoted officers would continue to contribute significantly to public service.
Several senior officers, including STO Rafiq Trambo, STO Pervaiz Ahmed Ganai, and STO Farooq Ahmed Dar, also spoke on the occasion, reflecting on the hard work, integrity, and dedication displayed by the officers throughout their careers.
The ceremony, conducted by STO Majeed ul Islam, concluded with the presentation of traditional shawls to the promoted officers as a gesture of honor and appreciation for their outstanding contributions to the department.
