Allama Hami Highlights Legacy of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (RA)

Patron of Karwani Islami International, Allama Dr. Ghulam Rasool Hami, on Friday paid rich tribute to Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (RA), describing him as a “timeless symbol of sacrifice, justice, and devotion” whose contributions to faith and humanity continue to inspire millions across the world.

Addressing a large gathering at the Central Jamia Masjid in Dada Ompora, Chadoora, Allama Hami said the First Caliph, Ameer-ul-Mumineen Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (RA), embodied the character, compassion, and principles of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He noted that the Caliph’s lifelong services—spanning religious, social, and humanitarian spheres—have left an indelible mark on Islamic history.

“All the favours and sacrifices of Sayyiduna Siddiq-e-Akbar (RA) will continue to illuminate countless chapters of human history until the Day of Judgment,” he said, adding that his exemplary love for the Prophet ﷺ and his unwavering obedience to Allah had been recognised in the Qur’an as models of justice and integrity.

Allama Hami said that presenting the life and character of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (RA) to the younger generation is essential for purifying society of moral decline, selfishness, and injustice. He described the Caliph’s unparalleled devotion—expressed through personal, familial, and material sacrifices—as a lesson in sincerity and selflessness for all humanity.

Shifting focus to contemporary social challenges, Allama Hami reiterated that the campaign against drugs and intoxicants is a core mission of Karwani Islami International. He stressed that combating substance abuse requires collective, sustained efforts from religious, social, and spiritual organisations.

“The well-being of society depends on the complete eradication of drugs. Our movement has consistently been at the forefront of this struggle and will continue to strengthen its efforts,” he said, expressing satisfaction over the organisation’s ongoing awareness initiatives.

He urged communities, institutions, and local leadership to intensify their role in preventing drug abuse and safeguarding the youth from harmful influences.
