Flight Operations Begin at Navi Mumbai Airport With First Departure to Hyderabad
Flight operations at ASG, Navi Mumbai Airport commenced on Wednesday morning with the first departure flight to Hyderabad at 8.40 am, officials said.
A total of 15 departure flights are scheduled for December 25. From December 26 onwards, the airport will handle 25 departure flights daily, with operations expected to scale up to around 40 departures per day by the end of January.
Passengers were welcomed at the terminal by Navi Mumbai International Airport Limited (NMIAL) and airline officials. Authorities said that all necessary security arrangements, in line with Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) guidelines, were put in place ahead of the commencement of operations.
Officials added that flight services will be expanded gradually in the coming weeks as passenger traffic increases.
