State Taxes Department Holds Farewell-Cum-Welcome Ceremony for JKAS Officers

The State Taxes Department of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday organised a farewell-cum-welcome ceremony to honour officers recently promoted to the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services (JKAS) cadre and to welcome newly posted and promoted officers.

The function was held at the auditorium of the Excise and Taxation Complex, Solina, and was attended by senior officers and staff of the department. The programme began with a welcome address by STO Aijaz Hussain Malik (JKAS), followed by speeches from Sakhi Mohammad Khan (JKAS), Aijaz Ali Lone (JKAS), STO Rafi Ahmad Tramboo and Deputy Commissioner Appeals Ilyass Ahmad Naisroo (JKAS).

In his presidential address, Mr. Parvez Ahmed Raina (Additonal Commissioner State Taxes) stressed the importance of sincerity, dedication and honesty in public service, stating that committed employees should be encouraged to serve as role models. He extended best wishes to the officers who have been transferred and welcomed those who have joined the department or assumed new responsibilities following their promotions.

Officers felicitated on the occasion included DC Excise Tabassum Kamli, DC Appeals Mir Zahida, AC Enforcement Zahoor Ahmad Bhat, Sakhi Mohammad Khan (JKAS), Aijaz Ali Lone (JKAS), Javid Ahmad Shah (STO), Israr-ul-Mustafa (STO) and Fatima (STO).

A special award was presented to Prince Ahmad Khan, Section Officer, in recognition of his dedication and selfless service to the department.

The proceedings were conducted by Nasir Amin Tugoo, Senior Assistant, who also presented the vote of thanks at the conclusion of the programme.
