PDP MLA Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra on Sunday urged authorities to consider the bail plea of MP Engineer Rashid, whose father is on ventilator support.
Parra said compassion must guide justice, stressing that no son should be denied the chance to see his dying father. He added that Rashid, despite being an elected representative, remains lodged in Tihar jail.
Calling it a humanitarian issue, Parra said such cases raise questions about the justice system and urged authorities to allow Rashid to meet his ailing father.
