AIP Optimistic After Case Hearing of MP Rashid in Delhi HC
The case of incarcerated Member of Parliament and AIP President Engineer Rashid was heard today in the Delhi High Court. AIP Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi expressed confidence in the judicial process while sharing updates on the proceedings.
Inam Un Nabi stated that during today's hearing, the Counsel for the Registrar General of the Delhi High Court assured that before the next date of hearing, both the recent Supreme Court order dated February 10, 2025 and the administrative order of the High Court empowering the Special NIA Court at Patiala House to try the matter will be placed before the court.
Expressing optimism, Inam Un Nabi said, "We have full faith in the judiciary and the Constitution. We are hopeful that justice will be served without unnecessary delays and that Engineer Rashid's prolonged incarceration will come to a fair and just conclusion."
The hearing has been adjourned to February 24, 2025, awaiting the submission of the required documents. The AIP reiterated its commitment to seeking justice for Engineer Rashid and expressed gratitude to its legal team for their dedicated efforts.
