Vivek Bali Slams NC Over Exorbitant, Unjustified Power Tariff Hike

Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) J&K State President Vivek Bali strongly criticised the NC government for imposing an exorbitant and unjustified hike in power tariffs, calling it a gross failure of governance and a direct attack on the people of Jammu & Kashmir.

Bali said the NC government’s decision exposes its anti-people mindset. “Instead of providing relief to households already struggling with inflation and unemployment, the NC government has chosen to burden them further. This tariff hike is insensitive, unreasonable, and completely unacceptable,” he said.

Accusing the government of inefficiency and misplaced priorities, Vivek Bali added:

“The NC talks about welfare, but their actions prove otherwise. When people expected better governance and affordable services, they were handed a tariff shock that will hit middle-class and lower-income families the hardest.”

He demanded an immediate rollback of the hike and urged the government to focus on ensuring reliable power supply instead of penalising citizens with inflated bills.

“This is yet another example of how detached the NC government is from ground realities. They must withdraw this anti-people decision and engage with stakeholders before imposing such harsh measures,” Bali said.
