SBI Officers’ Association Holds Inter-Region Cricket Tournament in Jammu

The State Bank of India Officers’ Association, Jammu Module, on Saturday organised an Inter-Region Cricket Tournament at Country Cricket Stadium, Amb Gharota, featuring teams from various regions of the Jammu Module. The day-long event began at 7:30 am and concluded at 4:30 pm.

Deputy General Manager, Jammu Module, Jayant Mani was the Chief Guest. Deputy General Secretary Rajesh Mehta formally welcomed the participating teams—Admin Strikers, RBO 2 Bashers, RBO 3 Avengers, and RBO 5 Dominators.

Match Highlights

Match 1:

The toss was conducted by Regional Manager, RBO 2 Jammu, Ajay Kamdi.

RBO 2 Bashers posted 159/5, while RBO 3 Avengers managed 137/5.

RBO 2 Bashers won by 22 runs.

Match 2:

The toss for the second match was conducted by Assistant General Manager, C.M. Bhat.

RBO 5 Dominators scored 136/6, but Admin Strikers chased down the target with 137/2.

Admin Strikers won by 8 wickets.

Final Match:

Admin Strikers set a total of 153/5. RBO 2 Bashers were restricted to 134/7.

Admin Strikers won the final by 19 runs, lifting the tournament trophy.

The entire tournament was streamed live on the Cricheroes app.

Awards & Felicitations

Deputy General Manager Jayant Mani, along with Deputy General Secretary Rajesh Mehta and Assistant General Manager C.M. Bhat, presented the awards:

  • Runners-up: RBO 2 Bashers

  • Most Valuable Player: Umesh Kumar

  • Best Batsman: Umesh Kumar

  • Best Bowler: Amit Koul

  • Man of the Match:

    • Match 1 – Amit Koul

    • Match 2 – Umesh Kumar

    • Match 3 – Vishal Charak

Strong Participation & Encouragement

A large number of SBI officers attended the event both offline and online. Participants appreciated the Officers’ Association for organising the tournament in Jammu and earlier on 16 November 2025 in Srinagar. The Association assured that such sports events will be organised regularly to promote camaraderie and wellness among officers.
