BJP spokesperson for Jammu and Kashmir, Manzoor Bhat, on Thursday reassured parents and families of Kashmiri students studying in Iran, stating that there is no need to panic as the safety and well-being of every Indian citizen abroad remains the top priority of the Government of India.
In a statement, Manzoor Bhat said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Government of India is fully committed to ensuring the safety of Indian students, particularly those studying overseas in regions facing uncertainty.
“I want to reassure parents and families that there is absolutely no need to panic regarding our students currently studying in Iran. The safety and well-being of every Indian citizen, especially our students abroad, is the direct and foremost responsibility of the Government of India,” he said.
Manzoor Bhat appealed to families to maintain calm and trust the mechanisms put in place by the Government of India, asserting that the welfare of students will continue to be handled with utmost seriousness and priority.
