Haji Abdul Ahad Malik, Former Director, Accounts and Treasuries, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated public service. He was widely respected for his integrity, professionalism, and commitment during his tenure in government service.
According to the family, mourning will be observed for three days at his ancestral residence in Trehgam, Kupwara, and thereafter at the family’s present residence at 248, Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar.
The deceased is survived by his sons, Dr. Ajaz Malik and Suhail Malik, along with other family members, relatives, and well-wishers. Condolences have been pouring in from various quarters, remembering him as a humble and principled officer.
