Cloudy Skies, Light Rain Likely in J&K

The Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Saturday forecast partly to generally cloudy weather with brief spells of light rain at scattered places across Jammu and Kashmir over the next few days.

 

Director of the Meteorological Department, Dr Mukhtar Ahmad, said that on April 11, the weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy, with a possibility of brief light rain at scattered locations during the afternoon or evening hours.

 

He said April 12 is likely to remain generally dry, although isolated places may receive brief light rain towards the afternoon. From April 13 to 15, weather conditions are expected to stay largely dry across the region.

 

According to the forecast, weather is likely to turn generally cloudy again from April 16 to 17, with light rain or thundershowers expected at scattered places, particularly during late afternoon or evening hours.

 

From April 18 to 22, conditions are expected to remain generally dry.

 

Meanwhile, the MeT department has advised farmers to resume farm operations in view of the overall favourable weather outlook.
