SPO Booked in South Kashmir’s Tral for Alleged Job Fraud

Police Station Tral has registered a case against one individual identified as Inder Paul Singh, son of Suraj Singh, a resident of Saimoh Tral and presently serving as a Special Police Officer (SPO), for allegedly cheating and fraudulently inducing people on the pretext of arranging engagement in the Police Department as SPOs.

According to the complaint received at Police Station Tral, the accused allegedly collected money from the complainant by falsely claiming that the amount was required to facilitate engagement through official channels. However, despite receiving the money, neither was the promised engagement provided nor was the amount refunded despite repeated demands from the complainant.

The complaint further alleged that the accused had issued fake and forged appointment-related orders/documents to the complainant as well as to several other individuals.

Accordingly, Police Station Tral registered FIR No. 54/2026 under Section 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and an investigation into the matter has been initiated.

During the course of preliminary enquiry and investigation, it also came to light that the accused had allegedly obtained substantial sums of money from multiple individuals on the false promise of securing jobs as SPOs in the Police Department. In this connection, departmental proceedings have also been initiated against the official concerned.

Police have once again advised the general public not to fall prey to fraudulent claims regarding government jobs or engagements. No recruitment or engagement in the Police Department is conducted through illegal payments, middlemen, or unofficial channels.

Citizens are urged to immediately report any such incidents to the nearest police station or the concerned authorities.
