Anantnag Police have disengaged a Special Police Officer (SPO) for allegedly failing to report for duty during the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra without valid permission or justification.
Senior Superintendent of Police Amod Ashok Nagpure ordered the action, citing dereliction of duty.
Police said strict disciplinary action will continue against personnel found negligent during the annual pilgrimage, while dedicated service will be duly recognised.
