Srinagar: Omar Abdullah, former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir was heckled by members of his audience in the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) where the National Conference leader was invited for a lecture on Kashmir.
A video clip from the event Thursday in the USA has gone viral on social media in which the participants are seen heckling and questioning Omar.
Pertinently, academics, research scholars and activists across the world had launched an online campaign against USA’s University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) for inviting Omar to speak.
Netizens had started an online campaign on Google Docs which termed Omar as not the “real” representative of Kashmir.
