Agartala, Jun 9 : The meteorological office today predicted heavy rainfall across Tripura for the next three days as south-west monsoon advanced to Northeast that caused massive rain across southern part of the region.
The weather warning said, “Heavy to very heavy rain is very likely at isolated places over Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura and Mizoram from June 9 to 12 next. The downpours will bring down the temperature a little and drenched most parts of the state.”
The moderate rainfall last night has brought down maximum and minimum temperature to 34 degree and 25 degree Celsius respectively, at least two degree below normal. The humidity level remained between 95 per cent and 67 per cent.
The weatherman has predicted generally cloudy sky with rain and thundershowers across the state till June 12 next while the maximum and minimum temperatures would remain at 31 degrees and 26 degrees Celsius respectively.
