‘RAAM an important constituent of AMK’
Srinagar: Adbee Markaz Kamraz (AMK) has congratulated the new team of office bearers of Rafiabad Adbi Markaz (RAAM) that was elected yesterday.
In an election held for the office bearers prominent poet and scholar Shabir Ahmed Shabir was elected as the new president while as Shabnum Gulzar was elected vice president and Hassan Azhar as general secretary. Tariq Ahmed Tariq was elected as new media secretary.
Congratulating the office bearers AMK president Dr Shujaat Bukhari said that the constituents of AMK have reinforced the democratic spirit by holding the elections from time to time. “It is a healthy trend and helps to work in a democratic way” he said adding that RAAM is an important constituent of AMK.
He asked the new team to worked with sincerity and zeal in order to achieve the objectives laid out by the AMK. “Preservation and protection of Kashmiri language and giving rightful place to writers community in the society is para mount for us and we along with all the constituents will make every effort to achieve that objective” he said. Vice Presidents of AMK Atiqa Bano, Farooq Rafiabadi and general secretary M Amin Bhat have also congratulated the new team.
