Srinagar: Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL), comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik on Tuesday deferred their strike call by a day in view of Mela Kheer Bhawani at Tulmulla in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
JRL had called for a shutdown against civilian killings and assassination of noted Journalist Shujaat Bukhari on Wednesday.
“In view of Mela Kheer Bhawani, we have deferred tomorrow’s strike by a day,” Mirwaiz told Kashmir Reader adding “the shutdown will now be observed on Thursday.”(Agencies)
