Srinagar: A few shots of firing created panic in south Kashmir’s Shopian on Monday morning however police said they thwarted a militant attack on Police Station.
Local sources said that they heard firing shots fired from three different directions which created chaos in the southern apple town.
When contacted SSP Shopian, S K Mishra told media that militants had attacked the police station.
“Our jawans retaliated the militant fire and the attack was foiled,” he said.
