Agartala, July 5 : The tribal based Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura (IPFT)
central committee has suspended top leader Balaram Debbarma from the party
accusing him of anti-party activities.
IPFT assistant general secretary Mangal Debbarma said the party has been
investigating the complaints against Balaram and as initial step he was suspended
but did not tell about the details of the allegations.
It is believed since his name comes for CBI investigation along with party MLA
Dhirendra Debbarma and local leader Amit Debbarma in connection with journalist
Shantanu Bhowmik murdered case.
He said the disciplinary committee of the party has suspended Balaram Debbarma
after the party received repeated complains pertaining to his anti party activities.
