Srinagar, Nov 01 : NIA summons Shia cleric, pro-freedom leader Aga Hassan The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday summoned a Shia cleric and pro-freedom leader, Aga Syed Hassan Almosavi Alsafvi to Police Officers Mess, Humhama in Srinagar.
Aga Hassan who is also the president of Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian has been asked to appear in the Police Officers Mess, Humhama on Friday (Nov 02) at 10:00 am.
According to a letter, a copy of which lies with Kashmir News Service (KNS) dated 26-10-2018, reads that NIA has registered a under nubmberRC-10/2017/NIA/DLI and the undersigned in investigating the case. “It appears that you are acquainted with the facts and circumstances of the case,” the letter reads.
It added that “You are hereby directed to appear before the undersigned on 2nd November, 2018 at 10:00 hrs at Police officers Mess, Humhama, Srinagar, in connection with the investigation of the case.
Meanwhile, Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian in a statement to KNS said that they will stage protests against what they termed as “harassment to their leader.”
They said that Aga Hassan is a religious cleric and the people in Budgam will stage against the harassment to their leader and can’t tolerate such harassment to their cleric. (KNS)
