Life remain affected in Shopian in south Kashmir
SRINAGAR: Life remained crippled in south Kashmir district of Shopian, where people are protesting against the killing of a youth allegedly in security force firing on demonstrators, who were trying to disrupt anti militancy operation on June 6 evening.
However, there is no restriction in any part of the district today.Shops and business establishments remained closed and traffic was off the roads in the main town and adjoining areas for the second day today. Work in government offices and banks also remained affected due to strike.
The district administration has already ordered suspension of class work in Government Degree Colleges and Higher Secondary Schools (HSSs) in the district as a precautionary measure.(UNI)
