srinagar: With humble duty the office of Grand Mufti Jammu and Kashmir informs the press and general public that coronation of Mufti Nasir-Ul-Islam was completed today at Soura.The coronation officially transferred the ecclesiastical office from Mufti Mohammad Bashir-Ud-Din Farooqi to Mufti Mohammad Nasir-Ul-Islam with all the religious legacy and heritage.
Mufti Nasir-Ul—Islam was designated as Grand Mufti Bashir-Ud-Din in the year 2012. Several imminent scholars were present in the simple ceremony today.Mufti Nasir-Ul-Islam in his first speech emphasized the role of his office in the current religious scenario where the extremists have unleashed reign of terror among the Muslims of country.Mufti Nasir-Ul-Islam is seen as a reformer and shall prove to lead a superior official arrangement after moving into his chair.He is post-graduate in Arabic and LLB Honours with specialization in jurisprudence. He has proved to be a sole voice for the sensitive religious issues of Muslims in mainland in the recent past withclear vision and eloquence.He announced rupees two millions for the orphanage :Dar-ul-Yatama”and pledged social reforms against all the social evils including drugs,morals degradation and sectarian mess.He told the gathering that he would complete the already initiated project of late Mufti Azam, Shahi-Hamdam International Institute,to its completion .
The Latest arry of his office and officials would be shared with the government in the interest of public at the earliest of convenience of the Grand Mufti J&K
