J&K Bank business heads allege forces personnel of curtailing their official movement

Srinagar, Apr 06 : Several business heads of J&K Bank Ltd on Monday alleged forces personnel of curtailing their official movement and appealed authorities to look into the issue and provide them relief.

Business heads of J&K Bank Ltd while talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) said while moving from one unit to other, the staff attached to the units are facing lot of inconvenience. They said after authorities imposed lockdown and other kinds of restrictions, it has become a routine across Kashmir that forces personal are disrupting our movement while carrying out official duties.

They also said despite authorities allowed financial institutions across Valley to function normally under protocol set by administration in combating Covid-19, forces personnel seemed violating orders issued by higher ups under their feet while continuing their muscular approach.

“Forces personnel are unnecessarily curbing our movement, asking curfew passes from staff members which authorities have failed to provide us”, a bank official said.

He said we are dealing with cash matters so our staff should be allowed freely to reach their business units so that people at grass root level don’t suffer.

When KNS contacted Inspector General of Police Kashmir Range Vijay Kumar, he said “Bank officials must carry passes from concerned Deputy Commissioner’s office. (KNS)
