We want vaccine to be developed at the earliest from any corner of the world, said PM Narendra Modi at the Parliament premises today, ahead of the Monsoon Session. A Covid-19 vaccine is likely to be available by early next year and the government is considering its emergency authorisation for high-risk people, Union Minister Harsh Vardhan said on Sunday. Earlier, British clinical trials for AstraZeneca and the Oxford University coronavirus vaccine resumed following confirmation by the Medicines Health Regulatory Authority (MHRA) that it was safe to do so.
