In a major crackdown against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Anantnag Police on Friday carried out extensive narco raids targeting several hotels across the Pahalgam Sub-Division, as part of the ongoing anti-drug campaign across Jammu and Kashmir.
Six dedicated police teams, operating under the supervision of SDPO Pahalgam, conducted searches across hotel premises in the Mavoora, Rafting Point and Yanner areas, acting on credible intelligence inputs. The operation aimed at preventing the misuse of tourist accommodations for narcotics-related activities and strengthening surveillance against drug networks operating in the region.
Police said the raids were part of a sustained enforcement drive to curb the drug menace and ensure a safe and secure environment for both residents and tourists visiting the popular hill station.
Anantnag Police reiterated its commitment to a drug-free society, stating that such proactive enforcement measures will continue across the district to dismantle drug trafficking networks and prevent the spread of substance abuse.
