The BJP’s Jammu and Kashmir unit on Tuesday expressed concern over what it described as a deepening humanitarian crisis in Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), alleging repression of civilians demanding civil, political and economic rights.
Addressing a press conference in Srinagar, party spokespersons Manzoor Bhat and Danish Bhat urged the international community to take note of the reported human rights violations and called on Pakistan to end the use of force against civilians.
The BJP also criticised regional political parties in Jammu and Kashmir for remaining silent on the reported situation in PoJK.
